BIRC Imaging Lab

Facilities

For data housing and analysis, the BIRC lab contains a high capacity (12 terabyte) storage system as well as 12 multi-processor Linux data analysis workstations, all of which reside on a gigabit ethernet network. The lab also houses a 9-node Beowulf computing cluster capable of over 64 teraflops of processing throughput. Available MR scanners for functional neuroimaging include a 3 T GE Excite scanner and a 3 T Philips Achieva system. The latter resides at the McKnight Brain Institute.
